Easter is the most exciting season of the whole year for those who love Jesus. First is the solemnity of Good Friday, where we remember the brutal death of a good man on a cross, the God-man, Jesus. Then, on Easter Sunday, we declare that the tomb is empty and that there is a story to tell! Where the cross is a display of God’s love and justice, the resurrection is his victory over all that enslaves us (1 Corinthians 15:55). The fact that Jesus rose from death is the hope of our salvation! The resurrection is why we gather to worship every week and thank the one who conquered Satan, sin, and death
