At long last, Paul lands in Jerusalem, and he is greeted warmly by the church. However, it doesn’t take long for him to meet opposition; despite efforts made by Paul and the church to protect him, Paul is beaten and arrested for his ministry yet again. Our best intentions and plans to do God’s will don’t always go the way we plan them. However, we can take comfort in the fact that even if things turn out differently than we expected them to, God is not finished with us. Like Paul, he may instead be moving us into the places we need to be to bring him glory and to bring us joy.
